Summary
La Trata Humana se posiciona entre los principales problemas sociales en el mundo. Se estima que 45 millones de personas en el mundo, principalmente mujeres y niñas, son víctimas de trata, incluyendo a Puerto Rico. Esta actividad es clasificada como una comercialmente ilícitas y muy lucrativas, generando más de 150 mil millones de dólares al año. (Rey y Hernández, 2021). Asimismo, este fenómeno es considerado un crimen difícil de detectar, invisibilizándose en frente de todos pues su operación proviene de sistemas organizados, sofisticados y con gran poder adquisitivo. Se identifica como crímenes que atentan contra los derechos humanos y la dignidad de las víctimas de trata (Rey y Hernández, 2014). Ante este panorama, deben desarrollarse estrategias de concienciación para la sociedad y la música representar una de ellas, pues puede ser identificada como un idioma universal. Se ha demostrado la creación de conexión entre las personas con los diversos factores sociales, religiosos, económicos, políticos e históricos (Gómez, 2021). Según Bisquera ( 2017), afirma que escuchar música es una forma de conciencia emocional, ya que permite el descubrimiento y conocimientos de las emociones propias.\ Partiendo de esta premisa, presentamos “Despierta Ya”, una canción de nuestra autoría, que relata la historia de un niño que pierde su vida siendo víctima de la trata humana. Su propósito será el de sensibilizar, concectar con las emociones y concienciar a la audiencia referente al tema de la trata humana en los diversos ámbitos de la vida cotidiana. Por otra parte, las personas podrán identificarse y convertirse en portadores del mensaje preventivo mediante la emoción que se evoca.

Summary
This panel uses three comparative country-level case studies from Argentina, Costa Rica, and Brazil to examine implementation of SDGs in the Latin American context. Much of the literature ignores social workers in favor of "hard" sciences and emphasizes sustainability almost to the exclusion of the social dimension. This fills these gaps by demonstrating social development and social work's role in achieving the SDGs. These case studies present a regional snapshot of social development in action.\ \ SDGs in Argentina\ \ This presentation analyzes Argentina's response to the COVID-19 pandemic pertaining to the SDGs. The pandemic strained the public sector and challenged democratic institutionality, reassessing the state's role. Policies boosting the economy were balanced with providing direct assistance to companies, workers, and citizens. This revived debates on basic income, taxation, and redistribution. We report on the SDGs in Argentina, national policies, and the challenges and trends.\ Water, SDGs, and Costa Rica\ This presentation discusses SDG6 in Costa Rica, which requires protecting water resources and providing clean water and sanitation. Facing significant environmental problems, Costa Rica uses participatory community-based environmental policy. We use the social determinants of health and human rights frameworks to analyze political and social initiatives and show how social workers have played a key role in environmental education and community work.\ \ SDGs Advocacy in Brazil\ This presentation shows how in response to the dismantling of social and environmental policies in Brazil, NGOs formed the Working Group on the 2030 Agenda to return the SDGs to the agenda. Through primary sources and oral history methods, we demonstrate how the Working Group became an advocacy coalition based on cooperation, shared beliefs, and coordinating skills and resources. This empirical presentation offers insights into the essential role of civil society in advocating for state accountability for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.\

Summary
This symposium invites the audience to learn from a diverse network of thought leaders in social work education worldwide. Innovative and collaborative initiatives emerged in response to COVID-19. The symposium will present three of them: The first is the Trauma-Informed and Culturally Responsive Framework. The second is and critical conversations (CC) model, and the last is about teaching social work in contexts of emergency.\ Presenting international evidence from international colleagues about their pandemic responses is a powerful asset for shaping social work education in the future. The overall goal of the symposium is to offer recommendations to leverage the quality of social work education both in times of crisis and in times of calm. Participants will learn about implementing various innovative approaches in social work pedagogy by presenting theory, research, and case examples.\ \

Summary
The Social Welfare Workforce Strengthening Conference, held in Cape Town, South Africa in 2010, gathered together a wide range of international organisations and government partners to launch a global movement to recognise and strengthen the social service workforce (defined as including not only professional social workers, but also other specialists, para professionals and volunteers, from both governmental and non-governmental organisations), and to develop stronger, more effective social service systems. The conference brought together teams from 18 countries to discuss and share experiences around the challenges facing the social service workforce and to develop concrete action plans to address these challenges at a national, regional and global level. The idea for a Global Social Service Workforce Alliance (the Alliance) was conceived at the conference, and the Alliance’s Framework for Strengthening the Social Service Workforce was developed to provide a range of strategies to enhance the planning, development and support of the social service workforce. It has since been reviewed, adapted and utilized around the world as the key framework to guide workforce strengthening efforts.\ \ The Alliance has since produced annual State of the Social Service Workforce Reports, and its 2023 report, 10 years after the founding of the Alliance, examined the progress that has been made since 2010 to define and strengthen the workforce. It includes a deep dive into the experience of three countries, Viet Nam, Uganda and Romania, and a review of progress globally. Based on the evidence reviewed, and inputs of a wide range of key informant and focus group participants, the report then identifies the key challenges that remain and emerging trends and opportunities in relation to strengthening the workforce. This presentation will present the main findings and conclusions of the report at both the country and global levels.\ \

Summary
This paper examined the role of drama in the lives of four women. The researcher concluded that drama can be an avenue of healing and could be an effective means of social work intervention in communities as well as female empowerment. The participants in the study were able to, through the dramatic process; re-write their life’s scripts by resolving paradoxes and conflicts related to the themes unearthed. The research examined the role of drama in the lives of four women living in volatile communities in Jamaica, who were each exposed to violence in multiple forms. Using their own personal and collective experiences, they used drama to raise social consciousness at the community level, about violence and other issues affecting women. A narrative case study approach was employed, grounded in a constructivist paradigm (Schwandt, 1994). This paradigm was coupled with a basic interpretive qualitative method (Merriam, 2002) and the concept of the reflective practitioner (Schön, 1987, 1991) provided the foundation for the analysis. Through individual conversations with the women, themes of abuse, resilience, self-esteem and empowerment arose sharply. The women explored drama and understood it to be instrumental in healing different aspects of their lives. They were able to reclaim their voices which were once silenced by violence, through the immersion of themselves into the various characters. It also provided the opportunity to create a safe space for discussion and expression of “taboo” issues, without fear of retribution or shame.\

Summary
En este Simposio se presentan las principales características del Trabajo Social Digital, desde una perspectiva que toma en consideración las propuestas más recientes en el ámbito de la participación, el codiseño y la cocreación en el ámbito digital. Se analizan también buenas prácticas en perspectiva internacional comparada, mostrando las ventajas y las limitaciones de la intervención social digital llevada a cabo por trabajadores sociales en diferentes países. Finalmente, se analizan las principales estrategias que permiten una intervención profesional exitosa en los servicios sociales, utilizando los medios digitales. El debate sobre estrategias y buenas prácticas permitirá avanzar en el diseño de los requisitos que deben cumplirse para lograr una intervención profesional adecuada, con especial referencia a las competencias digitales de los profesionales y de los usuarios. Todos los ponentes son co-autores de The Routledge International Handbook of Digital Social Work.

Summary
A través de este simposio se profundizará sobre la relevancia que tiene la articulación de estrategias de enseñanzas emancipadoras con el fin de desarrollar una praxis decolonial en el Trabajo Social. Los ponentes expondrán cómo las influencias sociales, culturales, políticas, entre otras, influyen en el quehacer profesional, principalmente propiciando una visión acrítica sobre las situaciones que aquejan a las poblaciones intervenidas.\ La ponencia titulada “Trabajo Social Decolonial en contextos educativos: Retos para los estudios de Posgrado” propone la necesidad de autocuestionarnos nuestra formación en trabajo social para identificar aquellas fortalezas y áreas de oportunidad para identificar el impacto que esta formación tiene en la praxis profesional decolonial. De manera vinculada, en la ponencia Activismo Social: estrategia docente decolonial para una práctica profesional liberadora, expone la relevancia de incluir el activismo social en los currículos del trabajo social. Resalta cómo la exclusión de dicho contenido propicia una práctica profesional incompleta, colonizada, desapoderada, psicologizada, que patologiza lo social, y que sirve a intereses contrarios a la justicia social.\ Dentro de las implicaciones presentadas por las mencionadas ponencia, la ponencia titulada\ Trabajo Social escolar en clave decolonial: Una propuesta crítica para abordar el fenómeno escolar de la exclusión educativa, sostiene la relevancia de estos saberes y cómo la ausencia de estos aporta a la perpetuidad de problemas escolares tales como la deserción escolar. Su ponencia sostiene que los profesionales del trabajo social deben conocer e identificar la opresión macroestructural\ y del saber, propios de la colonialidad, en el entorno escolar, y su vínculo con la exclusión educativa para ejercer una práctica profesional del Trabajo Social decolonial para atender a dicha población.\ Finalmente, la ponencia “Una práctica de trabajo social desde una perspectiva decolonial”, puntualiza sobre las estrategias de enseñanza que propician desde la práctica supervisada un accionar crítico, reflexivo y decolonial.\

La realización de estudios posgraduados debe suponer el interés de un profesional en la profundización intelectual en la disciplina, así como el desarrollo y capacitación especializada en un área de conocimiento, en este caso, el Trabajo Social.Esta formación académica debería favorecer el conocimiento y crítica acerca de la literatura relacionada a la profesión o especialidad; la exposición o experiencia en la provisión de servicios particularmente por tratarse de una profesión con la responsabilidad de implantar las políticas sociales de cada país y; óptimamente, la aportación de nuevas reflexiones, cuestionamientos y conocimientos sobre la disciplina. Si bien queda sujeto a revisión si estos aspectos se están logrando en los programas de posgrado en Trabajo Social, queda aún el reto mayor de plantearse que la formación en Trabajo Social sea un agente activo para el cuestionamiento de la realidad social colonializada y propulsora de un Trabajo Social decolonial.Se propone que profesionales del Trabajo Social asuman en primera instancia una actitud reflexiva para concienciarse sobre las fortalezas y deficiencias que tuvo la educación de posgrado recibida y cómo ello afecta la práctica profesional que cada cual desempeña. Se discuten, además, una serie de retos a los cuales se enfrenta la educación en Trabajo Social a nivel de posgrado, así como algunas consideraciones para atajar estos retos. Se defiende que la mencionada reflexión autocrítica conduzca hacia el compromiso con posicionamientos ético-políticos, para accionar un Trabajo Social decolonial y emancipador. Procurando en lo sucesivo que se incida positivamente en la docencia en Trabajo Social y, por consiguiente, en las personas formándose para ejercer esta honrosa profesión.

El trabajo de lo social enmarcado en una práctica supervisada crítica y reflexiva representa un trabajo tanto continuo, como complejo que inicia desde las primeras fases de la educación de la profesión. Una acción critica que integre el pensamiento y la acción, provocando la transformación y liberación, es requerida previo a la exposición de una experiencia de práctica supervisada integral. Puesto que ante los cuestionamientos en relación con los problemas sociales que enfrentamos, se debe realizar el ejercicio de cuestionar desde la historia colonial, que con resultados implícitos moldea nuestra sociedad en la actualidad.En lo correspondiente a la práctica supervisada del trabajo social, como educadores, somos responsables de dirigir a nuestro estudiantado a reflexionar hacia la liberación de la colonialidad del ser; asumiendo el deber indudable de accionar desde una crítica reflexiva tanto a los sistemas como a los llamados “colonizados”; con el objetivo de emanciparse de las configuraciones políticas, económicas, intelectuales y existenciales. Además, de distanciarse del pensamiento o idea de prepotencia sobre el otro, y del el otro sobre nosotros. Resulta urgente repensar la construcción del conocimiento desde la investigación y las plataformas fundamentadas en la reflexión, el pensamiento crítico y los cuestionamientos sociales actuales e históricos. Tales acciones, representan el comienzo a la transformación de la profesión y la consideración de una práctica innovadora y culturalmente sensible, que atienda las necesidades actuales tomando en consideración la historia. El planteamiento de cuestionamientos dirigidos a la contribución del trabajo social decolonialidad desde el contexto educativo debe superar la idea de la identidad política tradicional, partiendo de respuestas realistas y honestas. La reflexión debe plantearse desde los pininos de la formación, con el propósito de no solo idealizar una trasformación de la práctica; sino de trabajarla y desarrollarla desde sus cimientos.

Summary
La Organización Mundial de la Salud (2014), plantea que la salud considera otros aspectos de la vida de las personas, no solamente se limita a la ausencia de enfermedad. Esta involucra un estado completo de bienestar físico, mental y social. Además, la OMS reconoce la salud como uno de los derechos fundamentales de todo ser humano. Se añade, que los procesos relativos a la salud son el resultado de un amplio conjunto de causas interrelacionadas que interactúan en forma compleja que en la práctica resultan muy difíciles de separar de los proceso sociales, políticos y económicos (Benach & Muntaner, 2005). Sin embargo, a través de la historia del capitalismo se ha entendido la salud como la carencia o ausencia de enfermedad. Particularmente en su etapa monopólica, comandada por el capital financiero, se define la salud desde una imagen individualista y utilitarista que responde a los intereses económicos de empresas multinacionales (Rivera, 2018). La ausencia o no de enfermedad está vinculada a esas condiciones de la vida social y material. Sin embargo, en el contexto de políticas económicas neoliberales se ha desmantelado la salud como un derecho humano y se ha fragmentado; para priorizar en el enfoque biomédico con una atención individualizada y mercantilizada de la enfermedad.En el simposio se propone hacer una mirada a la dimensión social de la salud. Se presentan instancias en las cuales elementos sociales inciden en la salud. Para ilustrar el asunto, se presentarán tres escenarios: la violencia obstétrica, la determinación social del VIH y la salud emocional durante la pandemia por COVID-19. Los tres escenarios expuestos estarán situados en el contexto puertorriqueño. Objetivos: Describir los aspectos sociales que afectan la salud, en el contexto de políticas de salud neoliberales.Problematizar algunas de las desigualdades en salud identificadas en tres investigaciones en el ámbito de la salud.

PRESENTACIÓN 1: VIH en Puerto Rico: Un abordaje desde la Determinación Social de la Salud. Dr. Rafael Rodríguez Delgado. Los avances en la investigación médica y farmacológica hacen del VIH una condición de salud crónica, tratable y prevenible. Sin embargo, aún las cifras sobre el VIH representan un problema de salud pública. Además, el VIH afecta de manera desproporcional a los países empobrecidos y los grupos históricamente vulnerados. Se añade que el sistema económico capitalista con su acumulación de capital y distribución desigual de la riqueza ha sido importante en la determinación de la salud. Algunos autores mencionan que la manera en que enfermamos está vinculada con la desigualdad social (Laurell, 1981; Lima-Barreto, 2017). En la actualidad se hace más latente la manera en que los cambios en el sistema económico acrecientan las desigualdades en la salud.En la presentación se describen las tres dimensiones de la Determinación Social de la Salud como marco teórico. Desde este marco se hace una aproximación a los aspectos estructurales que determinan la salud de personas con el diagnóstico de VIH en el contexto de Puerto Rico. Se presentan algunos hallazgos de un estudio de caso realizado en el 2022 sobre el tema. Se desprende de los hallazgos que las estrategias de atención de la enfermedad están centradas principalmente en atender aspectos individuales y biomédicos de la enfermedad. Además, se observó la poca atención hacia los procesos estructurales que determinan la salud de las personas con un diagnóstico de VIH. Esto incluye: las determinaciones consecuencia de la privatización de los servicios de salud y su mercantilización; la pobreza; la ausencia de políticas sobre educación sexual, las relaciones coloniales entre Puerto Rico y Estados Unidos; las relaciones de clase y el debilitamiento de los movimientos sociales que promueven la participación política de las personas con diagnóstico positivo. Finalmente, se hacen recomendaciones para la formulación de las políticas sobre el VIH en Puerto Rico. PRESENTACIÓN 2: La violencia obstétrica: Manifestaciones e implicaciones para el trabajo social. Dra. María Vega Cotty. La violencia contra la mujer constituye un problema de salud pública que violenta sus derechos humanos. Un ejemplo de este tipo de violencia es la violencia obstétrica, que es la violencia contra la mujer en su derecho a la sexualidad y vida reproductiva (Arguedas, 2014). Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (2014) la violencia obstétrica es un fenómeno que se da donde la mujer experimenta trato irrespetuoso, abusivo y negligente durante el cuidado prenatal, el parto y/o posparto por parte de los profesionales de la salud quienes las atienden. La medicalización de los procesos de parto tiende a debilitar la capacidad de la mujer de dar a luz y afecta de manera negativa la experiencia de parto. Muchas de las intervenciones realizadas durante el parto ocurren sin indicaciones claras y esto continúa ampliando la brecha de salud en cuanto a la equidad entre los entornos que cuentan con muchos recursos y aquellos que no cuentan con recursos (OMS, 2018).En el simposio se pretende compartir resultados relevantes de una investigación realizada sobre el tema, con el propósito de visibilizar la violencia obstétrica como un problema de salud pública en Puerto Rico. El objetivo principal fue determinar la prevalencia de las manifestaciones de violencia obstétrica que ocurrieron antes, durante o después del parto en las instituciones hospitalarias de Puerto Rico para los años 2016-2019. Además, se compartirá con la audiencia las características sociodemográficas que predisponen a las mujeres a ser víctimas del fenómeno estudiado. Finalmente, se presentan recomendaciones para promover políticas y/o programas que aborden este tema de manera que permita empoderar a las mujeres a tener conocimiento de los procesos, y a tomar el control de su cuerpo antes, durante y después del parto, rechazando las prácticas que puedan poner en riesgo su vida o la de su bebé. PRESENTACIÓN 3: Transformaciones psicosociales de la pandemia del Covid-19 en adultos en tratamiento psicoterapéutico. Dra. Glorymel Rosado Ortiz. La llegada del Covid-19, su rápida transmisión, la falta de conocimiento sobre el manejo adecuado de la enfermedad, las restricciones y la cuarentena impuesta generaron una situación incierta en las personas. Es por esta razón, que el objetivo de esta presentación es exponer un análisis sobre las implicaciones psicosociales de la pandemia del Covid-19 en un grupo de adultos en tratamiento psicoterapéutico. Enfatizando en la experiencia psicosocial de las personas desde una metodología cualitativa de corte fenomenológico. Se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas por disponibilidad y referido a siete adultos que recibían servicios de salud mental en una clínica ambulatoria. La información recopilada devela cómo la pandemia se convirtió en un detonante del malestar emocional transformando la rutina diaria y las relaciones familiares. Los hallazgos de esta investigación convergen en que la pandemia fue el detonante para comenzar un proceso psicoterapéutico, por las implicaciones multidimensionales en el estilo de vida, la salud física y la salud emocional. A partir del análisis de contenido, se presenta la necesidad de incluir guías de intervención y recomendaciones para las políticas en temas de salud mental durante las emergencias de salud pública.

Psychiatric Space is an ongoing series that aims to destigmatize perceptions about psychiatric care. This exploration prompts us to consider the following questions: How does culture influence the way we discuss and address mental health? How does culture shape our understanding of mental health concepts? To what extent do these cultural influences differ between the East and the West?\ By incorporating images that were utilized in my professional research and teaching, the slideshow format of this presentation directly engages the audience, shedding light on two interconnected epistemologies. First, it explores the optical aspects of visual acuity, which depend on the precision of optical and mechanical processes through which our minds perceive visible phenomena. Second, it delves into the subjective, perspectival, and interpretive nature of "seeing." Understanding how our minds perceive and interpret the social world is paramount in the field of social work. As a social worker, I rely on both ways of "seeing" to validate hypotheses and generate reliable forms of knowledge. This insight not only informs my professional practice but also allows me to connect more effectively with my clients and contribute to the promotion of social well-being. Psychiatric Space provided us with an understanding on how photography can be utilised as a medium of education, reflection, communication, and conversation.\

There are currently more forcibly displaced persons around the world than ever before recorded, and social workers are well suited to respond to this global humanitarian issue. The impacts are broad and complex, and many responders to humanitarian crises are insufficiently trained and supported. Currently, the field of humanitarian response is led by practitioners in public health, public policy, and international development, whose approach - while proper for their respective fields - may contribute to fragmented response and services provided to the displaced population. The core values, principles, and approaches of social work such as person-centered and human right-based practice, culturally-responsive care, and multi-system approaches, align with humanitarian response needs. This positions social workers to have increased leadership in establishing policy and practice responses, engaging in research, and practicing directly with forcibly displaced populations. However, the specialized knowledge and skills needed by social workers to work effectively and ethically in the humanitarian field can be challenging to teach to students.This workshop will present innovative pedagogical methods to train future social work practitioners, as well as practicing social workers in this field. The workshop will be conducted by editors and contributors to a book
Integrative Social Work Practice with Forcibly Displaced Persons, and will review the tools for integrative and interdisciplinary training to prepare social workers aiming to or currently practicing with displaced groups. Perspectives from macro, mezzo and micro levels of practice, as well as innovative approaches for educating social work practitioners-in-training will be discussed in this workshop. As a result, participants will be able to identify skills and competencies important for social work practice with diverse displaced populations; apply new pedagogical approaches and tools for training social work students; utilize resources to develop integrative curriculum training future social workers practicing with various groups of immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

In a 2011 paper, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights made the case that voting rights were arguably the most important aspect of participation in democratic and political life. Article 25 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights 1966 (ICCPR) sets out that every citizen shall have the right and the opportunity, without unreasonable restrictions to vote and be elected. Upholding the inherent dignity of all person's with disabilities and respecting autonomy are guiding principles, consistent with IFSW's Global Social Work Statement of Ethical Principles 2018. Our review of the international literature has found that people with disabilities experience:Unlawful exclusion on grounds of mental capacity and personal characteristics.The civic nature of participation in person by voting at polling stations being trivialised with proxy or postal alternatives.Silencing of voices of dissent as an inevitable outcome. This is in direct contradiction to the protective measure drafted in response to ICCPR within Article 29 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2006. Under Article 29, people with disabilities have not only the right, but also the opportunity, to vote and to be elected. This workshop shall use interactive media (Mentimeter, QR Coded Video Content) and group discussion to consider emergent findings from a 3 years study in England which is analysing the impact of a social work intervention which has been co-designed, discovered and delivered with disabled people: Promote the Vote. Our fidings from this practice research project are consistent with the hypothesis that people with intellectual disabilities are significantly more likely to register to participate and turn out on polling day to cast a vote if they are made aware of their right to do so by social worker who take a human capabilities approach towards their practice role.

Defining a human rights culture as a “lived awareness” of human rights principles in our minds and hearts and integrated into our everyday lives, this workshop will: 1) define these principles
vis-à-vis the Human Rights Triptych consisting in brief of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the center; declarations, and conventions on the right panel; and implementation measures on the left; 2) discuss their implications for Advanced Generalist Social Work Practice, defined here as interventions to promote well-being on the meta-macro (global), macro (whole population), mezzo (at-risk), micro (clinical), meta-micro (everyday life), and research (quantitative and qualitative); and 3) discuss examples and joint social actions and struggles to create a socially just world constructed from these pillars of human rights as discussed in part in the third edition of the presenter’s book Human Rights and Social Justice: Social Action and Service for the Helping and Health Professions (Cognella, 2023) (including an instructor’s manual). It is both didactic, yet participatory. To elaborate ,that Triptych articulates fundamental rights to human dignity, respect for diversity, peace, a clean environment and the interdependency of human rights. It will thus examine “Sisyphus like” multi-pronged interventions concerning mental illness, AIDS, substance use, mass shootings, mass incarceration, and COVID. Thus, to eradicate COVID, we must continue to encourage at risk strategies such as the wearing of masks and clinical ones to counsel those with long COVID. Yet, we must also go upstream to have a global vision that the meta-macro entails, to stop the exploitation of exotic environments to appease material appetites of richer countries. This workshop also has an extreme ethical dimension not only for social workers, but also for everyperson, everywhere, thus requiring fundamental character change to treat others with human dignity, in non-discriminatory ways, and fully aware of the interdependency of human rights.

The use of simulation-based learning (SBL) has been demonstrated as effective in training students in professions such as social work. SBL is effective at teaching knowledge and competency-based skills and allows students the opportunity to move beyond just learning about something to doing something, and then reflecting, analyzing, and processing it, leading to improved responses in the future. Mental health issues for young people were exacerbated by the pandemic while students faced reduced availability of real-life practice opportunities, impacting their readiness for social work practice. Therefore, the authors adapted practice and experiential learning opportunities within an online environment to support students’ clinical practice development. The SBL scenario was adapted for online and virtual use in order to teach students how to respond to young people’s experiences of gender-based violence (GBV) within BSW and MSW level courses. The focus was on evaluating student learning, skill development and reflective practice. Data Analysis involved examining student reflective practice and evaluating student performance in using clinical skills in the SBL experiences. Preliminary results illustrate that GBV is still an area that requires specific skill development and the online environment is effective for student learning. Adapting in-person SBL to both live and virtual online formats has been successful in ensuring that students receive practice opportunities in a safe environment to enhance their social work competence. This workshop will discuss this innovative training approach using Virtual Gaming Simulations (VGS) to increase access to training and upskilling opportunities for both student and professional practitioners working with youth experiencing GBV. Presenters will discuss the use of SBL as a pedagogical approach to training practitioners in this field and provide opportunities for participants to engage in the experiential VGS learning experience directly. Applications for social work practice with young people will be discussed.

The COVID-!9 pandemic has increased the demand for mental health services. This accelerated the need for virtual and digital mental health services. However, it also imposed new barriers for those in search of care. Racial and ethnic minorities are more likely to experience barriers. Cultural and social motivators can also increase disparities in digital mental healthcare for certain groups. To best serve diverse populations of users, digital mental health need to be available in various languages. Adapting evidence-based digital mental health into a new language typically requires cultural adaptations, rather than a straight language translation. Digital mental health care can be the driver for success if social workers, stakeholders, and designers focus on the needs of people with mental illness and the steps required for recovery. It must not only equip people and communities to better cope with the stressors created by the dysfunctional world, but also target the very drivers to the dysfunction through joint social action. This workshop will:Provide participants with an outline of digital mental health and the barriers faced by diverse and underserved populations. Participants will gain a unique perspective about digital mental health via an ecosystems approach. Participants will understand how joint social action could address solutions to the barriers associated with digital mental health.

This workshop will introduce attendees to the various ways that social work researchers can disseminate their work via online repositories to increase access to international audiences. Social work scholars primarily publish their research in peer-reviewed journals, though these journals have limitations. Traditional journals have restricted access, limiting dissemination both to practicing social workers and to scholars at universities without access to expensive journals. High quality open access journals typically have hefty publishing fees which are cost-prohibitive to most social work scholars. Publishing preprints and postprints can not only assist with rapidly releasing findings but can also help increase the global visibility of research findings and make research accessible to researchers who cannot legally circumvent paywalls. We saw a rise of global interest in preprints during the COVID-19 pandemic, as much of our early scientific knowledge about COVID-19 was first distributed via preprints.This workshop will first introduce the benefits of publishing preprints and postprints, and then discuss scholars' concerns about publishing preprints and postprints, such as worries about publishing ethics, potential scooping, or publishing prior to peer review. Next, attendees will learn about various types of preprint and postprint digital repositories, such as SocArXiv, the international social science archive, and PsyArXiv, the international psychology archive, other institutional archives, as well as for-profit sites, such as ResearchGate and Academia, which have experienced legal challenges. Attendees will learn about Sherpa Romeo, a site which aggregates journal policies into a simple search engine so researchers can be sure they are complying with journal guidelines. Finally, attendees will be guided through all the steps of uploading a preprint onto SocArXiv. Attendees are encouraged to bring a device and a preprint of their own research with them, or they can simply follow along with the demonstration. Attendees are free to ask questions throughout the workshop.

Summary
The material environment of sex workplaces, particularly sex workers’ needs and desires surrounding their places of work, are elusive within scholarship. Research conjoining sex work and place is largely absent across disciplines, despite widespread scholarship demonstrating that outdoor sex work has much higher risks including violence, while sex workers employed in studios, brothels, and their own homes experience enhanced quality of life, self-esteem, and workplace happiness. In the face of on-going violence towards Canadian sex workers, addressing the place of sex work is a critical undertaking of social work praxis. In this study, nine sex workers in Calgary, Canada, undertook multisensory arts-based fieldwork and go-along interviews to explicate their everyday workplace experiences. They analyzed their sensory fieldnotes by remixing these explorations into digital animation shorts (
SensAtions) that share their workplace experiences and imaginations of future supportive workplaces. The audio tracks include storytelling narratives, soundscapes, and music. The
SensAtions elucidate the possibilities of sensory and arts-based ethnographic fieldwork in understanding un-just environments. Together, the
Sensation films offer a powerful multisensory method for overlaying visual, aural, and haptic fieldwork materials to analyze and communicate embodied experiences of stigmatized everyday places. For SWSD, the
SensAtion films are remixed into a ten-minute digital short demonstrating how sensory and arts-based ethnographic fieldwork can be activated via animation and story to understanding and communicate lived experience of everyday places and sensed atmospheres. In watching the
SensAtion films, social work practitioners can feel and imagine the experiences of gender and sexually diverse clients. The
SensAtion films demonstrate how social work researchers and practitioners can collaborate with marginalized clients, fostering social empathy and motivating action towards social justice. Using affective narratives,
SensAtions challenge the underlying justifications for inequitable social conditions.

In our ever-expanding globally connected world, the role of technology has and continues to significantly impact higher education. The use of technology, specifically social media, in the explicit curriculum is but one side of the reality – use in the implicit curriculum is the other. The learning experiences of students and the environment in which these experiences occur are paramount to shaping the professional character of students. In many ways, social media can and should be used to model the profession's purpose and values. Programs have used social media to manage their narratives and attractiveness to ensure long-term viability in a competitive market. Viability for social work programs requires honest messaging in how it is dedicated to human interchange, the spirit of inquiry, the support for difference and diversity, and ethical practices. Integration of social media in implicit curricula include communicating a program's commitment to anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ADEI); recruiting students; sharing assessment outcomes with stakeholders and the larger public; attracting qualified faculty and staff; and student development. For a program to effectively use social media, several factors should be considered. Who makes the final decision for the program? Whose voice is represented? How might one's ideologies impact their decisions to post information? How do programs critically examine its use of social media? What images are used? Are they representative of the intersectionality of students' identities? This interactive workshop offers participants an opportunity to discuss the use of technology and social media, and its connection to and use in the implicit curriculum. Using a readiness tool, participants will explore the positionality and power associated with social media, and how technology can be used to create learning environments that are reflective of its students while respecting and supporting diversity and differences.

Migration is nowadays a worldwide largely explored subject in researches. Disability and gender studies become as well huge interest from researchers. But the intersection of these three social identities has been too rare explored. Motivated from my personal experience as a migrant mother from a disabled child and observations as an activist in the social movement from parents with children with disability in Germany, I researching for my PhD about these realities and will bring to the participants of the workshop partial results from my thesis: How do migrant mothers with disabled child live in Germany, and how do they interact with the social system? Can social media and its communities of care offer a place for exchange and empowerment due to the marginalized situation in which many migrant families with disabled children live? Up to where can these channels reach? In my workshop, I will present the data from three of the mothers from my PhD research. They have differences in their biographies and strategies in their all day life in the interaction with different actors from social system, but also many similarities and can offer a richness of information in the task to understand the complexity of their realities. In this workshop the participants will understand why the online spaces are so important for my sample, but it will also be clear that without rethinking the responsibility from many actors from system – public, private and from the organized society - on offering professional care structures for these families, they cannot experience care as a synonym of social justice and respect to their diversities.

Coercive control is a pattern of violent behaviour that seeks to take away a person’s freedom and to strip away their sense of self. Physical violence may be used alongside a range of other tactics such as isolation, mind-games and the micro-regulation of everyday life. The person using abuse creates a world in which the person experiencing abuse is constantly monitored and criticized; their every move is checked against an unpredictable, ever-changing, unknowable rule book.Sagesse utilizes a coercive control model when addressing the issue of domestic abuse across Alberta. Operating from the perspective that most cases of domestic abuse fall under the definition of coercive control with different tactics being used to facilitate this violence (physical, emotional, sexual, etc.), Sagesse believes our clients and communities benefit from understanding coercive control and how it may appear in their lives, or the lives of people around them. This presentation will explore the basics of coercive control through case studies from our agencies client base. We will delve into the usage of manipulation, grooming and coercion that can be likened to that used in cults or extremist groups. We will share our models for working with clients experiencing coercive control as well as the policy and system level advocacy work that is required to elevate this issue to the attention required for positive impact. Participants in this workshop will leave with increased knowledge about the social shifts required to adjust and adapt our current models for understanding domestic abuse and the positive primary prevention implications of this shift. Survivors of domestic violence (DV) often use substances to cope with the trauma they may experience as a result of the violence. These linkages between substance use and DV are known but approaches to dealing with survivors who use substances often place a requirement of abstinence on the survivor as a method of dealing with substance use. This can place a burden on the survivor in that some cannot or are using substances to cope, especially given the trauma and symptoms they may experience. This interactive workshop addresses sub-themes of DV, addictions (harm reduction approaches), and mental health (trauma) by providing participants with introductory level knowledge of harm reduction approaches, trauma-informed practice, and DV. Through this workshop, participants will achieve three major learning outcomes, including: 1) acquire introductory knowledge of harm reduction (as a philosophy and a practice), trauma-informed practice, and DV; 2) develop an understanding of the linkages between harm reduction, trauma-informed practice, and DV; and, 3) apply the learning to a case study. We will briefly highlight the connection between DV and substance use and then examine harm reduction. Harm reduction will be addressed as both a philosophy and practice. Participants will consider the underlying values included in harm reduction approaches and some of the strengths and limitations of applying harm reduction and abstinence approaches with survivors of DV. We will also focus on trauma-informed practice and the values underlying it and approaches used. The linkages between harm reduction and trauma-informed practice will be made apparent. The learning outcomes will be achieved by through discussions and provision of information these interlinked topics, coupled with experiential learning using a short case study exercise that enables participants to consider the linkages and how to work with a survivor of DV using harm reduction and trauma-informed practices.

This interactive workshop is a response to the main objectives of the International Federation of Social Work (IFSW), Global Standards of Social Work Education includes ensuring, “… that the next generation of social workers have access to excellent quality learning, opportunities that also incorporate social work knowledge deriving from research, experience, policy and practice.” The work of the co-presenters span social work education in teaching social work research for graduate students in the Caribbean and the United States that according to the IFSW Global Standards of Social Work Education, emphasize the following:\ Curriculum design that takes into account of the impact of interacting cultural, political, economic, communication, health, psychosocial and environmental global factors.\ The provision of an education preparation that is relevant to beginning social work practice interventions with individuals, families, groups and/or communities (functional and geographic) adaptable to a wide range of contexts.\ The use of social work methods that are based on sound evidence regarding the effectiveness of interventions whenever possible, and always promote dignity and respect.\ \ Case examples of course enhancement in teaching research methods that ultimately work toward alleviating poverty and social inequalities will be highlighted. This in an effort to support the Conference theme of
Respecting Diversity through Just Social Action. By the end of this workshop participants will be able to describe examples of at least two strategies for teaching social work research methods, create communities of practice in teaching social work research, and develop core course mid-term and end of term course evaluation that are inclusive and address issues and strengths of student diversity and inclusion.\

OverviewCourageous spaces for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) faculty and staff significantly contribute to development and retention of our diverse social work faculty and staff. Social development in higher education provides support and mentoring while helping with recruitment and retention. In turn, this supports the education of our student population across the micro, mezzo, and macro systems of service.AbstractIn the USA, faculty of color continue to be underrepresented in universities. According to the Department of Education, 75 % of all professors were white, with nonwhite faculty contributing to only 25% of full-time positions in higher education. Given the failure to hire faculty of color in numbers that reflect the demographics of society, administrative positions for BIPOC faculty are scarce. There is also a lack of support and understanding of the issues faced by BIPOC faculty that affect retention once the hire has occurred.\ The Department of Social Work at MSU Denver intentionally diversifies our faculty and provides courageous spaces which support BIPOC faculty in thriving. These spaces have become a refuge for BIPOC faculty and students to receive support and mentoring as they navigate various dynamics in the Academy.\ There is compelling evidence to suggest that faculty of color do provide an essential contribution to undergraduate education in two ways. First, faculty of color employ a broader range of pedagogical techniques. Second, greater structural diversity among faculty leads to increased use of effective educational practices.\ This workshop will demonstrate how mentoring faculty of color, creating a welcoming culture, and creating spaces of belonging are key to retention of BIPOC faculty.\ \ Teaching Methods-1. El objetivo del taller es crear un espacio de debate sobre el Trabajo Social Comunitario y sus contribuciones a la participación ciudadana y la profundización democrática. A lo largo del tiempo, el Desarrollo de la Comunidad, considerado un método clásico del Trabajo Social, ha sido objeto de críticas y reflexiones en el ámbito de la formación desde el período de la Reconceptualización. A partir de las décadas de los 80´ y 90´, se han diversificado las concepciones del trabajo con las comunidades, y se ha desarrollado sobre la base de diferentes enfoques y tradiciones, generando así una serie de debates en torno a este tema.El objetivo principal del taller es profundizar en el debate en este campo profesional, utilizando como punto de partida las publicaciones científicas más recientes. Se busca examinar el estado actual del Trabajo Social Comunitario, analizando las continuidades, rupturas e innovaciones que han surgido en este ámbito.Durante el taller, se presentarán diversos autores, corrientes de pensamiento y problemas clave que caracterizan esta amplia área de investigación e intervención en Iberoamérica. El material empírico que se tomará, son las publicaciones en revistas científicas especializadas en Trabajo Social Comunitario, así como los manuales más influyentes en el ámbito de la formación.El formato del taller incluirá una breve presentación del expositor, quien compartirá sus indagaciones realizadas en el marco del Posdoctorado en Trabajo Social en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina). Posteriormente, se llevará a cabo un trabajo de debate en grupos, seguido de un espacio colectivo de reflexión en el que se retomarán los temas discutidos en los grupos y se plantearán hallazgos y preguntas para profundizar en el tema.Como objetivo secundario, se pretende establecer una red virtual que fomente el debate continuo y el aprendizaje colectivo sobre Trabajo Social Comunitario.

A partir de las experiencias de los estudios de Terapia Asistida con Animales en cárceles de otros países del mundo y los beneficios asociados, y con el fin de promover estrategias de cambio social, desde los propios actores comunitarios (en este caso las “personas privadas de libertad” entiéndase como “PPL”), sustentado en los procesos de desarrollo comunitario y transformación social y la educación popular (Paulo Freiré), se presenta una propuesta de intervención desde el Trabajo Social, bajo metodología interdisciplinaria, que en su 1° fase permite evaluar en terreno la situación “problema” presentada en relación a la presencia de animales de compañía en cárceles chilenas, incorporando en el análisis la percepción de los “PPL”, bajo un enfoque participativo, con el objetivo de realizar un análisis interpretativo de la experiencia, que derive finalmente en la planificación de acciones desde una mirada emancipadora, de reivindicación, protagonismo y autogestión, que permita a los PPL re-significar la experiencia de privación de libertad, por medio de la re-socialización, incorporando en este proceso a la disciplina del Trabajo Social, en un área no explorada desde la profesión como lo es la Tenencia responsable y los derechos de los animales, mediante la implementación de Programa Piloto “Rescate, Rehabilitación, Reinserción”, que consiste en una propuesta de intervención inter-disciplinaria y transversal, desde una perspectiva holística, que involucra acciones comunitarias para el abordaje de la problemática del abandono animal, como también proponer nuevos enfoques innovadores y alternativos que permitan desde una mirada integradora generar nuevas estrategias de intervención en el área de la reinserción social, con el fin de generar impacto transversal, es decir, no solo en las personas privadas de libertad mediante la re-socialización, si no que más bien incorpore a la familia de los PPL como grupo social y a la comunidad, bajo 3 ejes: Rescate, Rehabilitación, Reinserción.

Este taller busca problematizar el status del informe social desde una mirada reinterpretativa-crítica en los espacios de formación y de intervención del trabajo social. Las y los participantes analizan genealógicamente el informe social, lo comprenden como práctica histórica/política/discursiva y asocian a procesos de indagación e intervención. Incorporan las nociones de relaciones de poder/saber, disciplinamiento, discursos, modos de objetivación, ideología y objeto desde perspectivas críticas como contrapunto a concepciones clásicas del quehacer del Trabajo Social. Logrando posicionar al informe social más allá de una lógica pragmática/instrumental y lo sitúan como producción política/discursiva de Indagación/innovación de intervención en lo social.El taller se desarrollará bajo una epistemología-metodología crítica dialógica, reflexiva y deconstrucción colectiva de saberes (Freire 2008; Matus 2018; Cortés 2018).\ La actoría de las y los participantes en la experiencia de reflexión y aprendizaje es central. Las y los participantes aportarán desde sus saberes y experiencias, dialogando críticamente con los enfoques y categorías que presenten y problematicen los facilitadores del taller.\ Podrán poner diálogo y aplicar estas claves y categorías trabajadas al análisis de sus propios procesos y producción de esta práctica histórica/política/discursiva.Por lo acotado del espacio se propone el trabajo en subgrupos con extractos de informes sociales anonimizados y la entrega de una consigna con una o dos categorías de trabajo para el análisis y reflexión. Posteriormente, se contempla el desarrollo de un plenario donde se comparte lo trabajado y se entregan-refuerzan ideas fuerzas sobre el enfoque crítico para problematizar el ejercicio de informe social y algunas categorías centrales.

Diversos autores/as en el contexto latinoamericano (Marcón, 2023; Nicolini, 2011) reflexionan sobre el impacto negativo de la sobrejudicialización de la vida familiar en los tribunales de justicia. Esta sobrejudicialización se enmarca en tendencias globales que documentan una disminución en el número de parejas matrimoniales, unido al aumento en la cantidad de divorcios (García-López, Rodríguez-Mesa, y Pérez-García, 2019). El contexto antes descrito ha exigido que las profesiones que incidimos en el ámbito sociojurídico articulemos formas alternas de enfrentar el conflicto sociofamiliar (Quintero-Velásquez, 2000), evitando las graves secuelas que la exposición al alto conflicto interparental tiene tanto para la niñez/juventud como para la totalidad del núcleo familiar (Boyan y Termini, 2005). Con dicho fin, la coordinación parental surge como un método alterno de resolución de conflictos especializado en la atención de conflictos interparentales luego de un proceso de separación. Constituye un proceso resolución de disputas focalizado en las necesidades de la niñez-juventud que forman parte del núcleo familiar (AFCC, 2019). La coordinación parental permite proveerle asistencia a los progenitores involucrados en la situación de alto conflicto de manera que puedan implementar efectivamente su plan de custodia facilitando la resolución de disputas con prontitud, educando respecto a las necesidades de desarrollo de la niñez/juventud, y realizando recomendaciones en las situaciones en que los progenitores no puedan llegar a un acuerdo (AFCC, 2019). Este taller desarrollará ejercicios prácticos dirigidos a capacitar a la audiencia en la implementación de la coordinación parental. Se enfatizará en ejercicios dirigidos a adquirir competencias en: el análisis, transformación y contención de conflictos, estrategias para salir del conflicto, y como crear consenso entre los progenitores (Carter, 2011). Al finalizar el taller la audiencia tendrá conocimiento sobre lo que constituye la coordinación parental, las técnicas utilizadas en el modelo y los elementos primordiales para fomentar esta práctica en sus contextos nacionales.

El reconocimiento de la importancia que la dimensión jurídica ganó en el cotidiano de las prácticas profesionales, así como la reflexión sobre la denominación más adecuada de la especialidad, sea Trabajo Social Forense, Pericial o Trabajo Social en perspectiva socio jurídica, es un asunto reciente. En Argentina, el análisis documental ha mostrado visibilidad e incremento de la producción bibliográfica a inicios de los 90’, y una consolidación de la investigación local apenas iniciado el nuevo siglo (Alday, Bratti y Nicolini, 2001; Dell’ Aglio, 2004; Robles, 2004, 2013, 2019; Mitjavila, Krmpotic y De Martino, 2006, 2008; Ponce de León y Krmpotic, 2012, 2020; Del Muro, 2019; Yáñez Pereyra 2019, entre otros/as). También es significativo el crecimiento de las ofertas formativas de posgrado que han surgido y que confirman la necesidad de avanzar en el estudio de esta perspectiva de abordaje de las expresiones de la conflictiva social.\ La sistematización de esta práctica nos coloca ante una realidad institucional que, si bien presenta restricciones, al mismo tiempo habilita a los profesionales del Trabajo Social a proyectarse como un promotor de los cambios.En el Taller se presentan los alcances y debates actuales del Trabajo Social Forense entendido como Trabajo Social en perspectiva socio jurídica, una especialidad disciplinar dedicada al abordaje de la cuestión social que se constituye en dominio del saber/poder a través del desarrollo socio histórico de una práctica profesional específica y especializada, cuenta con perspectivas en debate a partir de un objeto que le es propio, una comunidad profesional activa y producción teórica significativa. Con metodología de taller y a partir de exposiciones breves de la coordinación, se debatirán vinculaciones con la temática Central de la Conferencia Mundial, focalizando en la diversidad sexual y de género, así como también respecto a las políticas sociales y la legislación inclusiva.

La Fundación Diabetes Uruguay trabajó durante 11 años para lograr luego de un largo camino, que en Setiembre del 2019 el Parlamento Uruguay votara en forma unánime en ambas cámaras (Senado y Diputados) una nueva Ley de Diabetes y otras Enfermedades no trasmisibles (Nro. 19798), derogando la ley 14032 vigente desde el 1971, siendo ésta una ley DISCRIMINATORIA para las personas con Diabetes.Esta nueva ley fue un avance en derechos humanos de las personas con Diabetes para la sociedad uruguaya, pues aseguró la no discriminación de las mismas y el poder ejercer el derecho a la salud realizando su tratamiento en todos los ámbitos educativos, deportivos y laborales. También resalta el derecho al acceso al tratamiento para las personas privadas de libertad.Igualmente importante, esta ley consagra y define la creación de un equipo interdisciplinario para la atención de la persona con Diabetes, entre otros puntos de interés. Lamentablemente a la fecha, esta Ley aún no ha sido reglamentada por el Ministerio de Salud del Uruguay, venciendo los 180 días para ser reglamentada luego de promulgada.Fue un largo y agotador camino, seguimos esperando, en el que principalmente madres y padres de niños con Diabetes, sencibilizadas frente a la problemática de la discriminación y del no acceso a educación de sus hijos, también trabajaron junto a autoridades de la Administración Nacional de Educación Pública (ANEP) y la Secretaría Nacional del Deportes (SND), para lograr conformar Protocolos de acción en los Centros Educativos y Deportivos a las que asisten personas con esta condición. La Diabetes es pandemia en el mundo, una de las enfermedades no trasmisibles que generan gran cantidad de muertes y complicaciones en forma prematura. Es vital la difusión de información sobre esta patología y avanzar en sus derechos, para mayor bienestar social de nuestra comunidad toda.

El racismo es una conducta social latente y nociva que requiere el desmantelamiento de estructuras psicosociales, políticas y culturales, entre otras. \ La enseñanza del Trabajo Social antirracista y emancipatorio debe estar nutrida de una profunda concienciación sobre estas reflexiones así como del desarrollo de destrezas para el accionar profesional. \ Las prácticas antirracistas deben ser configuradas, además, considerando su interseccionalidad con el colonialismo para garantizar el desarrollo e implementación de un currículo explícito e implícito para la enseñanza del Trabajo Social.\ \ El racismo se presenta en diferentes contextos, culturas y se manifiesta de manera heterogénea. Para entender cómo se vive el racismo en Puerto Rico, es pertinente entender la discusión acerca de las nociones sobre raza, desde el concepto de mestizaje. Desde la ideología del mestizaje, o bien sea la mezcla de tres linajes ancestrales, indígena, europea y africana, se presume que en los países latinoamericanos y caribeños no hay racismo debido a esta integración racial. Esto dificulta identificar las manifestaciones del racismo en nuestro contexto.\ Por consiguiente, definir desde el mestizaje la identidad racial puertorriqueña, ha sostenido una apacibilidad hacia el tema, acarreando invisibilizar ciertas características raciales.\ Las vivencias en Puerto Rico en torno al racismo quedan manifestadas continuamente en la exaltación de la supremacía blanca y las limitaciones tangibles de minorías raciales hacia los recursos económicos, políticos y sociales. Esto ha implicado en la población puertorriqueña un discurso de blanqueamiento selectivo y de ensalzar las características fenotípicas blancas, evidenciando la complejidad de la experiencia racial atada a la historia colonial.\ Ante estas consideraciones, en este taller se exponen estrategias de enseñanza que capacitarán a docentes en Trabajo Social para afrontar dichos temas.\ \

Summary
El taller tiene como objetivo analizar la intervención social, en tanto producto moderno y desde una mirada genealógica, comprendiéndola desde la contradicción y la posibilidad de configurarla como dispositivo, tanto desde lo discursivo como de lo no discursivo (Foucault, 1984, Garcia Fanlo, 2011).La naturaleza del vínculo entre los componentes diversos y heterogéneos, la red particular que se establece entre estos, sería el dispositivo, cuyos objetivos son siempre estratégicos, procurando la producción de un cierto orden, una forma específica de gobernar las acciones y una particular subjetividad de los sujetos que se ven sujetados a estos.\ Entendiendo que donde existe poder, existe resistencia (Foucault, 2000), esta no es exterior e incluso es constitutiva del ejercicio de poder. Al ser relacional el despliegue del poder, no sería total y por tanto deja espacios a las resistencias (Weiberg y Banks, 2019). Postestructuralmente la resistencia sería un ensamblaje de prácticas que se relacionan con órdenes restrictivos de gobierno (Strier y Breshtling, 2016), en tanto la fuga es lo que rehúye a estos (Deleuze, 2005; Rolnik y Guatari, 2006).\ El taller busca que los participantes reconozcan a partir de sus prácticas de intervención, las posibilidades de resistencias y fugas, en tanto prácticas abiertas u ocultamente manifestadas, más individuales o colectivas que responden a ordenes restrictivos, ya sea normativos, culturales, teóricos, etc. \ Abierto a cualquier ámbito de intervención, pero con espacial énfasis en la intervención social en infancia.\ El taller se desarrollará bajo una metodología participativa, crítica, dialógica, reflexiva. Se propone trabajo en subgrupos con una matriz de análisis de intervenciones, resaltando las prácticas de resistencias y fugas, para luego en un espacio colectivo debatir sobre lo trabajado y afianzar las potencialidades de comprender a la intervención desde este enfoque.\
